Be a Courageous Overcomer

It takes courage to overcome challenges. God’s word gives us the confidence we need to prevail in any situation. Philippians 4:13 states, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me” and Psalm 46:1-2 states, “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble”. In addition, there are many inspirational tools out there. Two I have found particularly meaningful are the poem, “Don’t Quit” by John Greenleaf Whittier, and song “I Made it Through the Rain” by Barry Manilow. Join me as we discuss some of our challenges and how we found the courage to overcome them.

Julie Belden is a retired finance professional who served as Chief Financial Officer of Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services 22 years, served on numerous non-profit boards, most recently as Treasurer of The United Way of Greater Dayton Area and President of Life Essentials, Boards of Directors. She is active in her church community, enjoys reading, traveling, playing pickle ball, volleyball and cards.
